Stories for Halloween and holidays
Special days are when everyone posts at once, so a story that looks designed stands out. Right now this category is mostly Halloween – costumes, pumpkins, parties – plus a set of holiday templates made for Turkish Republic Day on 29 October.
- Halloween, one photo. Golden Witch Night gives a single costume portrait a dark, gold, mysterious look – the easy choice for a costume reveal or a masquerade.
- Halloween, several photos. Pumpkin Night (3 photos) has a retro trick-or-treat feel, Halloween Boo Night (3) brings ghosts and pumpkins to the party, Gothic Altar (3) suits a vampire or gothic costume, Haunted House (4) sets the night around a spooky house, and Halloween Polaroids (5) shows the whole evening as instant photos with candles and pumpkins.
- Holidays and Republic Day. Holiday Journal (3 photos) is a scrapbook page with flags and fireworks, Holiday Bunting (4) hangs your photos under festive bunting, and Flag in the Sky (2), Republic Issue (4), Centennial Grid (4) and Lantern Parade (6) cover the day from the morning flag to the evening lantern walk.
How to make a special day story
- Pick your photos in Allapulla – one costume shot, or 3–6 from the night.
- Open Special Days; only templates for that photo count appear.
- Choose one – the photos drop into the frames automatically. Move or zoom them if a face is cut off.
- Change the text to the date or a short line and share to Instagram Stories or WhatsApp, or save it.
Halloween caption ideas
- “Boo.” – one word is enough with a good costume photo.
- “Guess who.” for a costume reveal.
- The name of the party or the date, like “31.10”.
- “Trick or treat?” over your pumpkin photos.
Tips
- Night photos are often dark; put the brightest shots in the biggest frames.
- Keep text in the middle – Instagram covers the top and bottom. See the story size guide.
- More ways to share a whole night in one story: multiple photos in one Instagram story.
