Quote story ideas that feel personal
A quote story works when the words sound like you. Copying a famous line is fine, but the stories that get replies are usually a small, honest thought paired with one photo. The templates here are almost all made for a single photo, so the line gets the attention.
- Kinda Chic series. Ten templates built around the “little joys” trend: Going somewhere alone, Going to bed early, Watching the sunset, Saying no, Buying yourself flowers, Finishing the book, Cancelling the plans, A morning walk, Cake for no reason and A phone-free morning. Post one when it actually happens – a sunset photo with Watching the sunset, a bouquet with Buying yourself flowers.
- Note style. Note Card, Rain Note and Path Note look like a handwritten note over your photo. Good for a rainy window, a road or a quiet street.
- Bold quote. Purple Quote and Typewriter Page give one line a strong frame – a book quote looks natural on the typewriter page.
- Text only. Underlined needs no photo at all; write your line and share.
How to make a quote story
- Pick one photo in Allapulla (or none for Underlined).
- Open Quotes; only templates for that photo count are shown.
- Choose a template – the photo drops into the frame automatically.
- Replace the sample text with your own quote and share to Instagram Stories or WhatsApp, or save it.
Lines to try
- “Kinda chic: leaving the party early.”
- A sentence you underlined in the book you just finished.
- One lyric from the song you can’t stop playing.
- “Note to self: …” followed by something you want to remember.
Tips
- Keep it to one or two lines; a story is seen for a few seconds.
- Pick a calm photo with empty space – sky, a wall, a table – so the text reads well.
- Keep the text away from the very top and bottom, which Instagram covers. See the story size and safe zone guide.
- Saving quotes in a highlight? Make matching highlight covers.
